Plenty of Roblox horror games keep a Trello. West Wood Remake does not, at least not one the public web has indexed. The actual board is A_L Studios and a Discord server repeated under every sneak peek. Treat the sneak peek curriculum as patch notes.

What the August 2026 launch means

A_L Studios spent more than a year publishing Friday sneak peeks, then dated the remake trailer for August 21, 2026. The Roblox listing was still being touched on August 17. This was a full remake, not a patch to the original — the original experience was paused during development.

The sneak peek curriculum in detail

Inventory and traps: The Remake added a proper inventory system with weight limits and trap placement mechanics. Public footage shows traps deployable on tiles before night falls.

Immersion interiors: Houses received detailed interior passes with destructible elements and interactive furniture. Not cosmetic only — some interiors affect line of sight during night.

Flags toggle: A settings option that toggles visibility of certain HUD elements for players who want a harder experience.

Looting cabinets: A dedicated cabinet interaction replacing the previous grab-bag loot system. Cabinets in footage show item names and effects before pickup.

Cameras: Selectable camera views in certain buildings confirmed from walkthrough footage — living room, stairs, front door, back door. Assign one player to watch during night.

Environment dust and map: Alberta received a visual overhaul. Dust particles in footage suggest atmospheric effects tied to weather phases.

Door bashing: A skill-based door opening method that replaces key-only entry in some cases. See How to Bash Doors.

Furniture plus radar and audio: Interactive furniture that produces audio cues and a radar-like awareness system for players without dedicated camera access.

Blizzard weather: A new weather condition confirmed for the Remake. Increased stamina drain, reduced visibility, and unique creature behavior in blizzard conditions.

The Beast (Jerry): The creature was confirmed as a named entity with badges for dying to it and using the flamethrower against it. Behavior and sensing rules are still being documented from live sessions.
