General Store Location — Finding the Store

The official West Wood Remake badges confirm that players can open the general store and deliver crates to its rear area. A current walkthrough shows a delivery note directing a carried object to the back of the General Store. No public map publishes the store coordinates or opening method — this guide uses landmarks and approach logic instead.

Use this page as a navigation method. Start from a place every player can identify, walk toward the store during daylight, confirm its entrance and rear area, and record the route for night use.

Start from a known landmark

Do not approach the store from an unknown position. Begin from your established shelter, spawn area, or another landmark the group has already confirmed. If every player starts from a different point, the route will not be shareable during a night delivery.

If you do not know where you are, find two fixed features such as a road direction and a building shape before moving. Name them aloud so teammates can confirm the same position.

Walk the route in daylight first

Travel from the starting landmark toward the store during safe conditions. Note each turn, junction, and exposed section. Identify the building from outside: look for signage, structure shape, and door orientation before approaching.

Confirm the front entrance and rear delivery area during the same daylight run. The rear area is the destination for night crate deliveries. The front entrance is for opening the store and making purchases. Distinguishing these before night prevents costly wrong turns under pressure.

Identify the store by live features

Do not assume the store looks like the original West Wood. Use current signage, structural shape, and interaction prompts to confirm the building. If the door does not respond to interaction, check the prompt wording before assuming it is the wrong building.

A current walkthrough shows a carried crate directed to the back of the General Store. That session confirms a front entrance and a separate rear delivery side. Confirm both in your current server.

Record two routes

After confirming the store, record a normal approach and a danger fallback. The normal approach can be used for daytime purchases and nighttime deliveries when routes are clear. The fallback should avoid the most exposed sections and lead to a regroup point if the Beast appears near the store.

Write the route in short steps that can be called during play. Each step should contain one action and one confirmation: leave the shelter by the rear exit, follow the road past the known junction, turn toward the store sign, and confirm the rear delivery side.

Prepare the rear delivery approach

The rear store area is used for night deliveries. Approach it from the same direction the group has already walked during daylight. Do not invent a shortcut through an unconfirmed section merely because it looks shorter.

If the rear area is not clearly distinct from the front, use the same daylight confirmation rule: one confirmed landmark at a time, short steps, visible exit available.

Night approach strategy

At night, the store and its surroundings may look significantly different from daylight observations. Approach from the confirmed direction rather than relying on visual familiarity. Keep the group compact and assign a rear lookout.

If the store area appears different from the recorded route, stop and confirm the building and direction before continuing. Fog, darkness, and weather can distort silhouettes.

Store location FAQ

How do I find the store if I am lost?

Return to a known shelter or spawn point. Do not search randomly through fog. Use a confirmed route from a landmark rather than wandering to find the store by sight.

Can I open the store during the night?

Yes, if the interaction is available. The store opening badge does not restrict time of day. Night approach is riskier but not mechanically blocked by darkness.

How do I distinguish the front from the rear?

Walk around the building during daylight. The front typically has a door, signage, or active interaction. The rear may be less decorated and closer to the delivery zone visible in current walkthrough footage.

What if the store interaction fails?

Check the prompt wording and confirm the correct building. If the interaction repeatedly fails, rejoin a fresh server and test again. Beta bugs are possible, but a clear report needs the exact item, time, and visible result.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is the general store always open?

The badges confirm an opening interaction exists. Whether it requires a key, time, or condition is not publicly documented — use live prompts.

Can I buy items at night?

The recorded beta session shows purchases during daylight. Night purchase behavior is not confirmed in the public sources.

Where exactly is the rear delivery side?

A current walkthrough directs the carrier to the back of the General Store. Confirm the exact interaction point in your current server.

Can I open the store alone?

Most interactions in the current beta appear individual. Record whether nearby players received the badge after your interaction.

What if the store looks different from the video?

Beta builds change. Trust your current server's signage and prompts over any recorded footage or screenshot.
