The remake HUD puts hunger and thirst on the same urgency tier as stamina. The original West Wood let you ignore food until a badge mattered. The remake does not.
The Oven is a Clock
Daylight is for contracts, keys, and a meal you will not be chewing when the creature is outside. Put pizza in, stay in the room, do not wander while the oven runs.
